Fitness and Athletics
Fitness and nutrition are an important part of our school day. Regular daily participation in activites, sports and games are an excellent break from studies and an exciting outlet for fun, recreation and enjoyment. In addition to our regular daily physical education classes, other fitness activities take place in our various athletic facilities.
Our activities coupled with nutritional education will promote sustained lifelong fitness. Education and learning about our bodies and our biological responses to food, nutrition and fitness play an important part within the healthy lifestyle component of our school. Our fitness program requires participation in activities, sports and games. Sports are a great way to make friends, enjoy competition, develop confidence, self-esteem and most importantly to have fun.
Sports that our students will compete in will be badminton, cross country, gymnastics, track and field, and as we grow, basketball, volleyball and soccer.
Facilities
Our full-sized double gymnasium will accommodate intramural sports like indoor soccer, floor hockey, martial arts, and provide learning opportunities individually for many other sports and activities. Access to a great yard and outdoor soccer fields offer many opportunites to get outside and enjoy the weather, surroundings and fresh air.
The "Chatham Hall of Wonders" our 5000 square foot indoor playground, will have a full-sized playground set, fitness equipment, a games area and other innovative fun and healthy activity items.
